Ep Gernaat opened the meeting and the agenda was set.

• The objectives of the Timloto Foundation were redefined during the summer break.
  The currect board is now composed mainly of teachers.
  The official foundation name is Timloto Open Source, abbreviated to Timloto OS. We will continue to be known as Timloto.
  Chairman: Mr. G. Th. Becker Hof; Secretary: Mr. C. van den Berg; Board Members: Mr. W. Tulp (webmaster) and Mr. H. Wildschut. The board has been appointed for a period of two years. Project group members have been asked to consult with their education managers to discuss whether the original application forms may still be used.
  
  A subsidy request has been made to PACCAR (US) through DAF. DAF has given permission to place two of their videos on the Timloto site. More videos means that the site needs to be expanded.
  
  On 7 November 2008 the project day will be held in Gouda Go for Africa. The press has been approached by a team from Mondriaan College. For information, visit the site www.Thecruisebrothers.nl. It is important that the educational objectives remain central. The Timloto site is visited around 300 times a day. Ep will be going to the GfA open day on Saturday, 11 October.
  
  New on the site:
  The lesson grids have been updated. If you spot any mistakes, please report them to Willem Tulp, the webmaster.
  A vacancies section (ZF) has been added.
  
  
• The JAVA programs were evaluated.
  Kees's program was outstanding but this was only possible with Tim v.d. Berg's assistance. Direct questions will be coupled to the program and, if possible, parts of the program will be placed on the site after the autumn break.
  Ep's program was also impressive. He completed it on his own and presented it to the group.
  
  
• Frans showed a number of videos which had been recorded at Toyota and adapted.
  Here too, outstanding work! This makes the advantage of a video presentation over photos clear. It's a pity that the files are so large. Frans will investigate a means to reduce the size of the videos.
  
  
• Dick demonstrated a Toyota DVD that will be placed on the site.
  We need to expand the lesson grids with a block on alternative drive.
  
  
• Our guest, Theo de Klerk, showed his material which can be used for the lessons and tasks.
  An addition with an overview will be placed on the site.
  
  
• Google project '10 to the100'.
  A discussion arose as to whether or not Timloto should participate. It was decided to do so and Ep will work on a draft text with the request to reply. The chairman will submit the request and we will wait for response.
  
  
• Plans for this course year?
  Dick will make an inventory of the tasks for levels 2 and 3. This should make the site more attractive for these groups. Frans is going to work on a library for illustrations and films. Henk is going to initiate and maintain contacts with the industry: Peugeot, DAF, Lotus, the military. Willem will continue to maintain the site. Downloads will be added to the lesson grids. Ep and Kees will carry on developing programs in JAVA.
