Schools are not meant to develop technology – their task is to help young technicians develop. They do that, in part, by explaining and passing on information. Only in special cases, do teachers actually do their own technical research. When automotive science teachers create their lesson materials, it is more often a process of collecting, selecting, re-writing and combining information gathered from other sources. Timloto information sources are always cited if known. However, many times it is impossible to trace the source of some of the material / illustrations.
